WE’RE HEADING upstate to Fort Edward, NY!

Accessible by water, rail, bike, and car, Fort Edward is a small-town gem located at the foothills of the Adirondacks. Within 5 minutes, you can get from the town’s main street with local businesses and Hudson River access to the rolling hills and expansive vistas of the Fort Edward countryside.

Perfect for site-specific performance, artist reprieve from the city, and opportunities to engage with community members, we couldn’t be more excited to connect these two places.

From Brooklyn to Fort Edward: here we go!

The first adventure

This October, NYC-based performer, creator, and educator, Donna Costello will kick off our upstate NY engagement in Fort Edward, NY. Donna will spend four days at the Canal Street Marketplace barn developing a new work to be performed in NYC this November. There will also be an opportunity for Donna and the local community to meet and connect.

Donna will return again in Summer 2023 to continue building connection with the community and experiencing all that Fort Edward has to offer.

Donna is an incredible artist and educator who is deeply committed to the power of movement and togetherness. I’ve been lucky to connect and collaborate with Donna in many meaningful ways since I was a teenager, and it is such a gift to partner again this fall to kick off THE CREATORS COLLECTIVE’s upstate engagement. Donna’s insight and experience will ensure we build a strong foundation for all subsequent programming that aligns with our mission and the ever-changing needs of today’s creative communities.
